Org chart

Visual tree of positions and reporting lines. Add, edit, move, and delete nodes. Link positions to org members. View current employees or former (within recovery window).

Employees view

List all current or former employees. Filter by manager vs all. Search by name, position, or department. See who reports to whom at a glance.

Positions & seniority

Each node has position title and optional seniority (e.g. Sr. Engineer, VP). Custom seniority options per org. Position–seniority allowlists for consistency. Abbreviate seniority and VP titles in display.

Departments

Group positions by department. Merge departments, move nodes between departments, and expand/collapse in the org chart view.

Leave tracking

Mark positions as on leave with type and start/end dates. Leave types (e.g. PTO, parental) configurable. Original hire date for tenure. On-leave state visible in org chart and lists.

Photos

Upload profile photos for org chart nodes. Uses linked member profile photo when a position is tied to an org member. Hero photos for unlinked positions.

Bulk import

Import org structure from OPML (outline) or CSV. OPML+CSV mode: OPML for hierarchy, CSV for member emails. Replace or merge. Recover from mistakes within the recovery window.

Merge & move

Merge duplicate positions into one; merge departments. Move a node to a new manager. Reassign all reports when terminating: choose new manager for direct reports.

Termination & recovery

Mark a position as terminated. Former employees stay visible for a configurable recovery window (e.g. 30 days) so you can restore or export. Permanently delete older terminated nodes when ready.

Member linking

Link org chart positions to org members (by email). One primary member per position. Display name, email, and optional employee ID. HR and manager restrictions for who can edit.

HR settings

Org-level options: abbreviate seniority and VP titles, custom seniority options, position–seniority allowlist. Optional auto-generated usernames (e.g. firstname.lastname@domain) and HR-only access.

Who can use HR

Admins and people on the org chart; optional HR and manager roles.

Access control

HR area is restricted: org admins and members who appear on the org chart can access. Optional HR flag for full HR access; managers may be limited to direct reports only.
